Send messages to candidates on Indeed to gauge their interest, schedule an interview, or start the conversation.
Sending messages to candidates
Use templates to message multiple candidates without manually replacing the job or candidate details. This makes it faster and easier to reach out to the candidates you're interested in.
- Sign in to your account.
- From the Candidates list, select the three dots next to the candidate you want to contact.
- Select Message.
- Use a template, write a new message, or use one of the suggested conversation starters to begin outreach.
- Send.
Using Smart Sourcing
- Go to Smart Sourcing.
- Select a job and begin searching for candidates.
- Find a candidate you want to reach out to and select Message.
- Use a template, write a new message, or use the AI-generated message feature to begin the conversation.
- Send.
Viewing messages and replying to candidates
- Sign in to your account.
- Go to Messages in the top banner.
- Use the Inbox to view messages with job applicants or toggle to Resume contacts for sourced candidates.
- Select a candidate to open the conversation thread.
- At the bottom of the screen, click Invite to write a personalized message, use a template, or schedule an interview.
- Send.
FAQs
Question: Can job seekers see if I'm actively online?
Answer: Maybe. In your Communication settings, you can toggle Show online status on or off. Job seekers will see a green dot next to your name if you're signed in and Show online status is on.
Question: Can I see if job seekers are actively online?
Answer: Maybe. If a job seeker is signed in and has turned on this feature, you'll see a green dot next to their name. However, you won't be able to see the online status of job seekers who've enabled this feature if your Show online status is off.
