A guide to clean your mobile

A quick and simple guide to clean your mobile, remove unused apps, and save data (especially if you're using Android):

1. Clean Junk & Cache Files:

  • Go to Settings > Storage > Cached data → Tap to clear.
  • OR use Files by Google app → Tap "Clean" to remove junk, temporary files, and large files.

2. Uninstall Unused Apps:

  • Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps → Sort by "Last used" or "Size".
  • Uninstall apps you haven’t used in weeks/months.

3. Disable Background Data & Auto-Sync:

  • Go to Settings > Network & internet > Data usage → Restrict background data for non-essential apps.
  • Go to Settings > Accounts → Turn off auto-sync for unnecessary accounts.

4. Use Lite or Web Versions:

  • Replace heavy apps (like Facebook, Instagram) with Lite versions or use them in browser.

5. Move Data to Cloud or SD Card:

  • Upload photos/videos to Google Photos or Drive.
  • Move old files to SD card (if available) or external drive.

6. Restart or Reset (if needed):

  • Restart your phone once a week.
  • If still lagging badly, do a Factory Reset after backing up data:
Settings > System > Reset > Erase all data (Factory reset).
